Becoming a successful fishing guide is a lot hard then taking people out to catch some fish. Fishing guides everywhere have to know how fish react to the different types of weather like if the bromiter is really low the fish are less likly to bite. You have to know which bait to use in for each species of fish and even find out which one they like the most. Making sure that you have a successful trip is really important cause if you dont know where the fish are hiding each time you take a group out people, cause they won't come to you if you can't produce fish. So scouting around and listening to what friends or people might have to say about where they were catching big fish or like you hear that this lake is supposablly producing a lot of fish can really help you. So an average day for a fishing guide is looking for new spots or taking a group out.
Being a fishing guide means that you have to provide some of the equipment that is need out on the lake.

Education wise i dont think you need a degree to become a fishing guide but i wouldnt not go to school cause it isnt the most dependable job they have their high points in the year and their low pionts, many summer being the high. but I would think that if they are allowed to take people out fishing that they would have top some sort of class on like lifegaurd cause if like someone falls in and has probklems swimming like elderly people or young childern. They do need their boater safteys lisence though so they leaglly can drive a boat.
